Hi Cat Holics!
Thank you for checking out my author's page! My name is Donesha Rochelle Stancil-Potts, but I publicly go by Rochelle Blaze. As a Virginia native, I published my first debut novel, The Price to Play in 2014. I strive to inspire and empower women to achieve their highest potential! In my stories, the characters aren't perfect, and I often draw from my own experiences. My characters are flawed, but aren’t we all? I was in a tragic accident years ago that gave me a new awakening to life and the world we live in. As an educator, activist, author, spiritualist, artist, and advocate for STEM, I believe that this journey will help me to help other young women and girls to embark on a journey to self-empowerment.
My Experiences:
I worked as an educator and youth director for most of my career. I have worked with victims of domestic violence, children in detention homes, and adults with rehabilitative counseling. I have experience in training people with online advocacy programs and outreach about bullying and suicide awareness. My experience as a Special Education Teacher and tech designer has helped me to provide various helpful tools on mental, emotional, and physical health and healing through innovative experiences. I am an avid STEM researcher and have created STEM career educational programs for young girls. I hope you will help me continue with this legacy of STEAM fusion.
